Is Yacht Week accessible for guests with reduced mobility or wheelchair users?

All our sailing yachts are chartered, so we are not able to modify or adapt them. This means the yachts are not wheelchair accessible.

What to expect onboard

  • All yacht models have stairs down to the interior and cabins.

  • Doors and toilets inside are narrow.

  • No adaptations to the yacht layout are possible.

  • Getting on and off the yacht usually means walking across a plank about 30 cm wide, or taking a small step/jump from the yacht to land, depending on the mooring. The plank moves with the water and the yacht, so it is not always stable.

You can see some of the layouts for our monohulls and catamarans on our website.

During the week

The environment can present challenges, and some activities may be hard to fully participate in, such as moving between yachts during the rafts (including the tunnel raft party). For some land parties, transport is by water taxi (a speedboat), which can be an extra challenge and may require a small jump from your yacht to the water taxi.

Support onboard

Although your skipper will be happy to help when possible, as the yacht's captain, they may not always be available. That said, it's important to travel with a friend you feel comfortable with and who can assist at all times.

Before you book

We want you to have the full picture so you can judge how the setup works with your own routine and comfort. Please note that we can’t make any custom changes to the yachts or adapt them in any way.
